OFFICE PROFILE The Office of the City Registrar is essentially devoted to the delivery of the information and the services relative to Civil Registration and Population Development. This rather unique institutional role of the Office was defined at it inception in1993, when it performed a direct program management function in Civil Registration in tandem with Population Development Program, at the local government level. GOALS AND KEY RESULT AREAS : A. CIVIL REGISTRATION PROGRAM -Timely Registration of acts and events affecting the status of persons B. POPULATION DEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT PROGRAM -Improved data quality C. CLIENT SATISFACTION IN SERVICE DELIVERY - Increased awareness on the importance of Civil Registration D. STAFF COMPETENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY -Competent and healthy employees/workers - Awards & Incentives for excellence CIVIL REGISTRATION PROGRAM For the 6- Month Period, this Office has received and processed a total of 3,824 applications for Civil Registration:
Additionally, the Office has issued a total of 1,366 Certified Transcripts and Certified Copies of registered documents, based on request made by concerned or authorized parties:
In 12 October 2001, the Office of the City Civil Registrar started to implement R.A No. 9048. Since then, we have been continually receiving and processing petitions relative to this; And for the six (6) months period, had generated a revenue income of P 121,500.00
Our record on the number of Applications for Marriage License revealed a total of 239 couple/applicants for Jan-June 2007. For the period reported, a total of 5,769 service clients were served by the Office. POPULATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: The Office continued to provide information, education, communication, and motivational efforts supportive to the program goal of achieving a healthy and effective balance between population, resources, and environment: 1.) Maintenance of the Office-based Population Information Center, which is a member of POPCOM’s Regional Population Information Network. In June, 2001, our Population Information Center was granted regular member/subscriber status by the New York-based UN-Population Council; with the assigned Population Information Network (PIN) number 26861. 2.) Intensified the provision of Pre-Marriage Counseling (PMC) services jointly with the City Health Office and the DSWD. A total of twenty-two (22) PMC sessions for two hundred thirty one (231) couples were conducted during the 6-month period. 4.) STAFF COMPLEMENT The Office of the City Civil Registrar is a department which headed by the City Civil Registrar, who also assumes the position of City Population Officer in concurrent capacity. Presently, t has a total workforce of 14 employees who comprise the Technical Services Division and the Support Services Division.
b) REVENUE GENERATION The Office has generated during the six month period, revenue incomes from R.A-9048 and related fees from the Civil Registry Services.

(Information Technology) as an important focus, and an I.S (Information System) which is geared towards modernization; Providing quality Civil Registration Services now, and in the years to come. |
